Michelle Gethers-Clark serves as president and CEO at United Way of Greater Greensboro.
August is African American Philanthropy Month. Philanthropy plays an important role in improving the quality of life by building an inclusive, caring and vibrant community. As part of strengthening the community, CFGG is currently implementing the Expanding Community Giving (ECG) initiative to engage more people of color in philanthropy.
Will you please help us with this important work? The link below will take you to a survey that will help us:
- learn about the perceptions, interests and giving patterns of Black donors
- learn more about the relevant issues facing our community from individual Black perspectives
- create ways to advance Black giving to address those issues
By taking the survey, you will help us reframe and expand a new narrative for Black philanthropy in the Greater Greensboro community. The survey will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
Here is an important message from Mae Douglas, chair of the ECG advisory committee, and Walker Sanders, president of the Community Foundation.
