As part of strengthening the community, CFGG is currently implementing the Expanding Community Giving (ECG) initiative to engage more people of color in philanthropy. By taking a survey, you will help us reframe and expand a new narrative for Black philanthropy in the Greater Greensboro community. The survey will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

It’s #givingtuesday and the CFGG staff is celebrating with the announcement of the new staff giving circle. Giving circles allow donors with similar goals to pool their philanthropic resources and decisions for greater impact.
“A fundamental part of the Foundation’s mission is to ‘inspire giving’. Through our Expanding Community Giving (ECG) program, we are working to show that all philanthropy is valued, and to make it more accessible. The Giving Circle is our way of demonstrating how that works. It wasn’t enough to talk to others about it. We wanted to walk the walk.” said Athan Lindsay, development officer and coordinator of ECG.
The fund was seeded with a $2,000 gift from the CFGG board of directors. Participants will make monthly contributions. The first grant is expected to be awarded on Giving Tuesday in November, 2019.
